What it is
A salt calculator for home fermentation. Enter your water or vegetable weight and a percentage, and get the exact grams of salt for sauerkraut, pickles, kimchi, or hot sauce — plus spoon equivalents for four common salts.
Why we built it
Fermenters do this arithmetic for every single batch, and the reference charts are buried in blog posts that don't even agree on what "3.5%" means — salt over water and salt over total brine give genuinely different answers. Add salt brands whose densities differ by two to one, and a volume recipe can land a batch at double the intended salinity. One tool settles all of it.
