What it is
A complete version of the asymmetric Norse siege game the Vikings actually played. One side walks its king from the center to a corner; the other, with twice the army, tries to surround him first. Play a real on-device opponent at three strengths, or pass-and-play two-up at one device.
Why we built it
Hnefatafl is a genuine historical game with no license or trademark, but the paid apps holding the Board charts are ancient builds with weak, near-random AI. This ships a modern, focused implementation with one clearly documented ruleset and an opponent worth beating, filling the gap for abstract-strategy players who want an honest fight rather than a stale relic.
