Aircraft Drawings

Which line is drawn from a note, dimension, or part number to the specific feature it refers to and terminates in an arrowhead touching that feature?

Answer

Leader line

A leader line connects a note, dimension, or callout to the exact feature it describes and ends in an arrowhead (or dot) at that feature. An extension line projects out from the object to bound a dimension, a center line marks an axis of symmetry, and a phantom line shows an alternate position or adjacent part.
