How does an aircraft's maximum ramp (taxi) weight relate to its maximum takeoff weight?
Answer
It is slightly greater than the maximum takeoff weight, allowing for the fuel that will be burned during engine start, taxi, and run-up
Maximum ramp (taxi) weight is the greatest weight approved for ground maneuvering and is slightly higher than the maximum takeoff weight, the difference being the fuel consumed during start, taxi, and run-up before takeoff. It is therefore not identical to the takeoff weight (option 0); its defining relationship is to the takeoff weight, not to the landing weight (option 2); and it clearly includes fuel, so option 3 is wrong.
