What are the normal lab values — and the critical values — across the eight standard panels: CBC, BMP, additional chemistry, liver and protein (CMP), coagulation, ABG, lipid and urinalysis?
- 54 tests across eight panels, each panel and test marked with its real specimen tube in its real cap colour
- Sex-specific tests — hemoglobin, hematocrit, creatinine, HDL — carry a Female/Male toggle that shows at the flag
- Search resolves abbreviations (BUN, Na), aliases (kalium, bad cholesterol), British spellings and typos, and mirrors the query back; where a test is not covered the app names its own boundary rather than giving a dead end
- A Critical values tab for the labs you call about, and an additive acid–base interpreter that names the pattern of pH, PaCO₂ and HCO₃⁻ and nothing beyond it
What it is
Lab values, normal and critical, on one ruler. 54 laboratory tests across the eight standard panels — CBC, metabolic panel, additional chemistry, liver and protein, coagulation, arterial blood gas, lipids and urinalysis — each carrying its normal reference range, its critical value where one applies, the specimen, a plain-language note on what it means, and its own named source. Type a result and it plots on the very same ruler its reference range is printed on, flagged low, normal, high or critical by its position rather than by a claimed colour.
Why we built it
A reference that colours a number and a table that prints a range are two things that can drift apart. Here they are one drawing: the flag a value gets is its geometric position on the bracket, the critical thresholds are ringed on that same axis, and the flag reads with no colour at all — a margin letter (LL, L, OK, H, HH), a shape, a word and a place on the bracket — so it is safe for colour-blind readers. It is an educational reference, not medical advice and not a diagnostic tool: ranges and critical values vary by laboratory, method, age and population, so always use your facility's own.
