Once a Texas insurer notifies the claimant that a claim is accepted, it must pay the claim not later than:

The 5th business day after that notice
If the insurer notifies the claimant it will pay a claim, 'the insurer shall pay the claim not later than the fifth business day after the date notice is made.' (An eligible surplus lines insurer has 20 business days.)
